Announcing David Duffett as our first Keynoter

Two posts in one day, you lucky people! Carry on reading this one and then head over to the other where we talk about the team behind CommCon.

Today the CommCon 2019 team is delighted to announce that David Duffett will be our first Keynoter at CommCon 2019! David has been part of the Open Source RTC community for as long as I’ve been a part of it and recently founded a new business to help geeks with their public speaking skills called “Let the Geek Speak”. Funnily enough David was the person who encouraged me to first speak publicly, at Astricon way back when.

    About David

David Duffett — CommCon 2019 Keynoter

David is well known throughout the Open Source VoIP community as a brilliant Trainer and Speaker on Asterisk, FreePBX and PBXact, and was until recently the Worldwide Asterisk & FreePBX Community Director at Sangoma /Digium. Having left that position, David is now on a mission to help geeks like you and me achieve higher levels of success by speaking better in public with his “Let the Geek Speak” project (see more at letthegeekspeak.com/free-report).

David is a firm believer in the power of Open Source Software and that’ll be the topic he’ll be covering in his Keynote; OSS — Beyond the Bottom Line. A topic that’s extremely close to mine and many other’s hearts in this industry.

We’ll be announcing a further two Keynoters in the coming weeks; we’re so excited about the quality of content at CommCon this year — David will be doing his Keynote and another session where you can learn the skills required for public speaking too!

CommCon 2019 is being held at Latimer Estate 7th — 11th July. Arrive late on the Sunday and leave first thing on the Thursday for a brilliant 3 core days of RTC content. Want to buy a ticket?
